Isabella is from Fairfield, CA. She began studying saxophone at the age of 11, then began learning clarinet shortly a year later. She earned her BM in Music Industry Performance from Loyola University New Orleans, with concentrations in classical clarinet and jazz saxophone. She is currently receiving her MM at NYU Steindhart for Screen Scoring. Isabella was the former CEO of New Orleans Live Sound Company, NOLA Sound. Through this company, she expressed her love for sound technology which continues to show itself in her work as a performer and a composer.
Isabella is currently a client for InkWell Entertainment, an agency focused on pitching music to movies, tv shows, video games, and more. She is also currently in a mentorship program with recording artist and composer Tom Salta (The Outlast Trials, Deathloop), furthering her compositional and production skills in the world of video game music.
Isabella began composing at the end of her sophomore year of college when she took a class on film scoring. She was encouraged by industry professional Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Pet Semetary, Spider Man 3) to pursue a career in film scoring after hearing her rescore of a scene from The Ring. From then on, she began studying with Jay Weigel (Interview with a Vampire) to pursue composition full time.
Isabella has always had a deep passion for film and video games. During her free time, she is often watching movies, studying film history, and playing video games. She was heavily inspired by Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman, and Danny Elfman growing up, leading to her love of scores consisting of synth and atmospheric elements. She explores unconventional methods of composing to create music with unique instrumentation and sound design.
Isabella focused on diversifying herself as a musician during her time at Loyola. She focused on saxophone and clarinet as her primary instruments, and doubled on family instruments and flute on the side. She played in a variety of ensembles, including wind ensemble, orchestra, jazz combos, and jazz band. she is also an experienced vocalist due to spending time in a cappella groups and musical theater during high school.
Isabella is extremely proficient in sight reading and adapts between multiple genres with ease. She has focused on extended techniques, particularly on clarinet. She is proficient in alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, and ocarina. She is very passionate about session work, as it allows her to always be doing something different and expand her horizons.
